How to achieve great wealth

It is human nature to always want to progress and to pursue comfort, happiness and freedom and most people think that there is only one way to achieve these 3 things… money. Money and the pursuit of ever growing wealth is the pursuit of most of us, we go to work to pay our mortgage/rent , to raise our children and to buy our food and the constant weekly working torment to achieve these important commodities of life never ceases to end. In this blog post the founder of BoM John discusses the importance of not focusing on what we don’t have but on appreciating the things we do…even the poorest person can be extremely wealthy!

Today – Knowing someone with a Mental Illness

I imagine that living with me can be pretty awful at times for my whole family, but my Husband especially. Whilst I try to keep the smile and cheerful Mum face on for my girls, it can be so exhausting that I can’t always manage it for him too. There are days when he has to care for both our children because I don’t have the energy, days when we have to cancel any plans to go out because the thought of stepping outside the front door sends me into a blind panic, days when he has to put up with me barely speaking a word because the fog is so thick I can’t think straight. He will always tell me that he loves me, that he doesn’t mind doing all the extra stuff when I can’t, but I am aware of the strain my illness puts on our relationship, and the effect it has on our family as a whole. Today – The Subject Of Suicide

I’ve written before about my own suicidal thoughts – I didn’t want to ignore the topic this week, so have gathered some opinions/experiences of Suicide, from differing viewpoints – all asked to be anonymous.

Today – Post Natal Depression

As a Mum of two, and with a strong history of depression I was very aware that the odds of developing PND were not in my favour – especially when my second child was born prematurely and by emergency C-section, throwing my hormones and emotions all over the place. Although I struggled following the birth of both my babies, I don’t think I could honestly say I had PND. After my eldest was born I found it hard to adjust to life as a new Mum, then second time round, well there is nothing that can prepare you for a premature, seriously ill baby. My depression was pretty awful, but just in its normal darkness like way.

Today – Borderline Personality Disorder

The only knowledge I have about Personality Disorders is from the current assignment I am working on for my long distance learning course. It would be pointless to quote facts and figures, whilst they may be interesting to the medical professionals, what really makes an impact is hearing from someone who lives every second of the day with this illness.

There are many different types of Personality Disorders and it would be impossible to give them all the words they deserve in just one blog, so here is just one experience, one very honest and brave story. Today – Men’s Mental Health

There has been a fair bit about Men’s Mental Health in the media recently, thanks in part to the likes of the young Royals speaking out and musicians such as Professor Green and Stormzy sharing their experiences. Recently footballer Aaron Lennon was detained under the Mental Health Act resulting in a number of famous males talking about their own battles with the demons.

I cannot speak with personal experience for obvious reasons, so this blog belongs to three amazing guys I know who are doing their very best to raise awareness of the fact that mental illness is NOT a female only problem.
