Psychic readings good for depression?

I am well aware that psychic readings is a topic that needs kids gloves particularly because of the views of many religious cults seeing as a thing that should not be trifled with but I hope by discussing psychic readings and reading the information with an open mind you can see the benefits of a psychic reading, particularly for those who have unfortunately become depressed. In this post I will discuss the pros and the cons backed up with scientific research and the views of others to come to a balanced view allowing you to come to your own conclusion, would a psychic reading help you overcome your depression?

Are psychics genuinely able to read the future?

This is something that goes through the mind of many a person when they visit a ‘fortune teller’. Can they genuinely read the future? Why can they see into the future and the ‘average’ person feels that they cannot?

After experiencing a psychic reading myself it is in my belief many psychics can genuinely see into the future but the problem is finding the genuine and constructive psychic.

Still not convinced? Physicist and parapsychologist Russell Targ discusses the idea of ‘remote viewing’ and the power of the psychic mind in this 30 minute video.

Is a psychic reading against the catholic religion?

Now for many years a priest would have told you that having a genuine psychic reading is wrong, evil and in league with the ‘dark spirits’. Last year I was fortunate enough to visit Rome and the Vatican ( if you get a chance, do go, its hugely impressive! ) and I entered the Sistine Chapel on a guided tour to see one of the most famous painting in history.

As I stood peering up at this unbelievable painting I noticed twelve people at at the edges of the ceiling. The twelve prophets that depict the return of christ one of whom was nothing other than a psychic, Delphic Sibyl!

How can psychic readings be evil if the catholic church has recognised one as being a prophet in the very heart of their church? To find out more about Delphic Sibyl please visit this link.

How can a psychic reading help a depressed person?

When you are depressed you tend not to be able to see the future in a positive way, you see that things can only get worse and never get better and having a psychic reading can give you hope for the future and motivation to drive you towards the ability to make the thing that has been suggested come into your reality.

So whether you have been fortunate and found a genuine psychic whom can tell you the future or a charlatan the fact you may be told that you ‘will become successful’ or that ‘you will get past this difficult time’ and ‘you will meet an incredible person’ all give you hope for a better future. Whether this is 100% accurate or not it gives you the motivation to create change and take action which is an important part of overcoming depression.

How do I know my psychic is genuine?

To know if a psychic is genuine or not is difficult, it is a little bit hit and miss and sometimes you just have to take a chance and hope you have a selected the correct one. Alternatively, I recommend that if you have a friend or family member that has visited a psychic before and had a good experience you should consult them for your first experience of a reading.

In my experience there are some things that the psychic I visited could never have known about me and my family. I mentioned no names, no places, no interests but yet he knew of my personal life just by shuffling some cards and holding a personal object (my watch).

One example of what my psychic informed me was I would be travelling up and down to London all the time and he could see Norwich Cathedral. What happened was I applied for jobs all over the country once I had returned from Colombia highly motivated both in my hometown , my near city and further away in London. A week later I received a job offer in London with a business that had connections to Norwich and when I first moved away I was going back to my hometown nearly every single weekend as I settled into the south.

The odds of a business that is ran on the outskirts of London with connections to Norwich must have been very small and this is just one example of a psychic reading I have had that showed me he was genuine.

The downsides

It can be addictive

The problem with having a psychic reading is it can become quite addictive. My first reading was back in my 2nd year of architecture and then for five years I would seek a new reading every subsequent year.

I have always been fascinated by the unexplained and how the mind works from a very young age and knowing what might possibly happen in the near future is highly attractive to those inquisitive by nature.

It is important knowing when to step back from seeking psychic readings once you have found a more positive path as although it is good to know things can improve in the future life is meant to be experienced and enjoyed rather than predicted and you just play it out.

You can rely on every word

A psychic is not a god, a psychic is just a human being like you or me with the possible ability to see into the future when focusing and stilling the mind.

When you have a reading the news is always mostly positive and you hold onto every word in the hope that what they are saying will happen. Great for driving you forward but if it doesn’t happen as ‘you imagine it’ then it can be disappointing and possibly take you back into a depressive episode.

So are psychic readings good for depression?

For some people yes, a psychic reading can help people be more hopeful for the future when all hope was gone. Sometimes all a person needs to lift themselves out of depression and a heavy heart is the hope that things can get better and that they will achieve it through their own actions.

It is for that reason that I would say yes, a ‘genuine psychic’ reading is good for a depressed person but be wary, ensure you find a psychic with a good reputation and testimonials if possible.
